Bridal Shower Icebreaker Games: The Name Game

This game is a great way of getting to know and remembering the names of the other guests. You might think that you are only good at faces, but this game will surprise you! it also a provides a funny way to strike a conversation. After all you want all your bridal shower guests to have fun together, and avoid small groups who know each other from previous encounters to stick together in closed groups.

Once all the guests are present, have them site around the room in a way they see each other. The bride then tells her name and her favorite food, which has to start with the same letter as her name. So it would be something like “My name is Anna and I like Apples”.  Then, the next person has to do the same, but she must also repeat what the previous person said: “My name is Joe and I like Jalapenos and this is Anna and she likes Apples”.

It would be hard to remember all the names, but because you are associating it with something concrete and because you are having fun you’ll do surprisingly well!

You can change up the game in many ways, the variations are only limited by your imagination. Instead of favorite foods you can also use adjectives, which would sound like “Hello, my name is Taylor and i am tenacious.” You can set this bridal shower game with its own theme. It could be places where they’d like to travel, about gardening or cooking.
