All you need for this game is a large vase or box. When you invite your guests ask them to bring one item along with them which represents meeting the bride for the first time. The bride’s mother or grandmother can bring her a nappy or bib, a school friend can get along a notebook, if the concerned guest met the bride in the playground then she can get a ball, if she met the bride at a beach she can bring a sun tan lotion.

When all the guests have arrived place all the items in a box or vase in the room. Now ask the bride to pick up the items one by one. As she picks up an item she can guess who bought the item and why. She or the guest can then narrate how they met the bride for the first time.. The bride too can speak about the person who has brought the item. The bride will next pick up another item and again try to guess who brought it. All the assembled guests will hear another story. As the game progresses you will see smiles and tears as several incidents and memories are released in a flood

Write down one sentence about the bride in the form of poetry. It could be anything like the bride is like the red red rose or something suggestive like the bride is sleepy, she is dreaming of bed. Now ask the bride to start opening her presents. Meanwhile make the guests sit in a circle.

Now pass the paper and pencil and ask one person to write down the next line of the poem. State that the guests should not be alarmed that their poetry need not have rhyme or rhythm. After the first guest has added her line she passes it on to the next person who adds another line. The paper is then passed on to the third person who adds yet another line. Each guest is expected to contribute a line and help compose the poem on the bride. The game goes on until each guest has her turn. Some sentences may be sentimental, some romantic, a few naughty and some droll. When everyone has taken their turn collect the paper and read it out aloud. Most guests collapse with laughter.

You should choose a club or bar as the venue of the bridal shower party. Try to pick up a club or bar which you are familiar with and explain to the owner your purpose of hosting the party there. Now dress the bride in a sexy waitress dress. She can wear short skirt and a low neck top if she is willing. She is supposed to act as a sexy waitress and walk with swinging hips. Before starting the game let the bride wear the label bride to be in order to avoid confusion and misunderstandings.

The bride should serve drinks in a tray. She can even collect tips. She can act the role of a friendly waitress and even flirt with the customers making everyone laugh. She can have a few drinks herself but just see that she does not get carried away with the spirit of the game. You don’t want to handle a tipsy bride. When the game is over treat your guests to drink and food. If it is possible you can also have a dance party.

Before starting the game create four to five groups from the guests assembled. This game will be little like a relay race. Place one orange in one leg of each panty hose. Every team should be given a panty hose with an orange in it. Now place an orange in the starting line before each team. Let one member of each team tie the hose around her waist so that the orange dangles to the floor.

Now let the game begin. The member has to hit the orange in front of her with the orange hanging in the hose. She is responsible of getting the orange to the finishing line. Once she has achieved her target she will pass the hose to another member of her team who will have to bring the orange back to the start line. This continues and the orange is taken back and forth till every team member gets a chance. The team which finishes first is declared the winner.

In order to prepare for this game you only need lemon balls, a soda bottle and stockings. Put a soda bottle on the floor of the room. It should be filled one third. Now place a lemon in each leg of a stocking. The stockings have to be tied around the waist of the participant in such a way that the lemons should dangle around 18-20 inches above the ground. Next use a stop watch to note time. You can give each participant just five minutes. Each participant is expected to swing her hips back and forth so that she can knock down the soda bottle. You must precisely note down the time each participant takes.

Very few people are successful. Most give wild swings which do not touch the bottle. The person who knocks down the bottle using the least time is declared the winner. If no one succeeds then you can play the game again or the person whose swing came nearest to touching the bottle is considered the winner. This game is very suggestive as women swing their hips giving rise to jokes. The game also makes everyone hold on to their sides.

Let the bride play the game first. Spread cotton balls on the floor. Place a bowl near by. Now give the bride the pair of oven mitts to put on. Next blindfold the bride and ask her to lift the cotton balls with the help of the soup spoon and place them in the bowl. Use a stop watch to time the bride. Do not give her more than ten minutes. This is not as easy as it sounds. The bride’s attempts to pick up cotton balls draws laughter. Once the ten minutes are up cry halt.

Now count the number of cotton balls in the bowl and note it down against the name of the bride. Allow each guest to have her turn. The person who has put the most number of cotton balls in the bowl within the time span is declared the winner. This game gives a golden opportunity to click photographs of the bride and guests when they are playing. You can later present these photographs to the bride.

Create couples from the guests assembled for the bridal shower party. This game is more fun if there are many couples. There may be many husbands and wives. You can include the bride and the groom as well which adds to the fun. Make the men and women stand in separate lines facing each other. The women should take off first one shoe then the other as well. Place one shoe from each pair worn by the women in the center. There will be pile of shoes. Now ask the men to stand in readiness. You can blow a whistle or simply say start.

The men are required to hunt the right shoe of their partner and then put it on her foot –Cinderella style. This game is actually very difficult. Most men are not able to find their partner’s shoes even if she is his wife. This creates confusion all around and raises a lot of guffaws. The observant man who first puts the right shoe on his partner’s feet is declared the winner. Even those not playing this game can have a lot of fun watching it.

The theme you choose should be related to the future of the bride like honeymoon, husband, home, children, anniversary, romance etc. Each group is expected to portray the bride’s life after she has tied the knot. The group should stick to the theme given to them and not deviate from it. One group can create a collage of honeymoon locales with pictures of a couple enjoying themselves, another can depict the bride’s new home and its possible décor while the third can make a collage of babies doing various activities or a child in the different stages of growing up The pictures can be cut from the magazines and pasted on the blank paper artistically.

After each group has completed their collage the bride can select a winner. This game also creates a gift worth remembering. After all the groups have completed making their collage collect all the papers and keep them in a scrap book. Present this gift to the bride. Whenever the bride goes through the scrapbook she will recall fond memories of the bridal shower party you have hosted.

Before the party starts keep a number of blindfolds and a stop watch ready. Once all your guests have arrived at the party you can begin the game. Ask the guests to take out their night clothes and place it in front of them. Next blindfold all the guests. Take out a stop watch. Now ask the guests to put on their night clothes as fast as possible. The bride has a lot of fun watching the guests try to scramble into their night clothes. Most go the wrong way around and there is laughter all around.

The person who puts on her night clothes right first is declared the winner. There is another version of this game. In this case some of the lingerie used in the game can be new. The bride is blindfolded and then has to put on the night clothes brought by the guests. The other guests are merely spectators who double up with laughter watching the bride’s clumsy attempts. Later the new lingerie used in the game can be gifted to the bride.

You will need two large bowls, cotton balls and a kitchen spoon. Keep an additional piece of cloth to help blindfold the guests. Place the cotton balls in one bowl and let the other remain empty. For this game you will also need a stop watch. Make the guest who is going to play the game sit on a chair with a table in front of him. Place the two bowls – one empty and the other full of cotton balls on the table. Now blindfold the guest. The guest is required to transfer as many cotton balls as she can from one bowl to another using the spoon. Give each guest only one minute of time.

After the minute has expired cry halt and count the number of cotton balls transferred against the name of the guest. As cotton balls are extremely light the guests often do not realize they are transferring nothing from one bowl to another. This is a great game to watch and raises a lot of guffaws as you see guests making queer mistakes as they struggle with spoons and cotton balls. The guest who successfully transfers the most number of cotton balls in the span of one minute is declared the winner
