The basket should be decorated with frills, ribbons and any other accessories you can think of so that it makes an appropriate gift for the bride. Before the day of the bridal shower ask each guest to bring a small gift for the bride. The gift should be wrapped in a gift paper. the gift can be any item like a pen knife, can opener, lipstick, nail polish, pen, mini diary, ring small earrings, handkerchief sets etc.

You should also have pen and paper. When each guest arrives ask them to write a note of best wishes for the bride and then pin it on the gift they have brought. The best wish can be a simple one liner like wishing you a happy married life, or something poetic like wish you all the sunshine that life can provide or droll, wish you never lose control of the driving seat. Next place all the gifts along with the best wishes in the well or basket. At the end of the shower present the well to the bride. She can read all the best wishes aloud or read them at her leisure.

You will need baked bean, sauce and several tiny objects like buttons, a tiny bow, small piece of ribbon, safety pins, a tiny doll, dice, ring, ear rings, a mini lipstick etc. You will also need plenty of fresh hand towels and a stop watch. Place the baked beans and sauce in a big bowl. Now hide the small objects in it. The guests have to discover as many small objects in a limited period of time. Before starting the game use a stop watch and have a pen and paper ready. Now let the first player have her turn. She is blindfolded and has to put her hand into the sauce and discover as many small objects as she can in just 30 seconds.

Once she has her try you can write down the names of the objects she has found and hand her the towel to clean her hands which are a sight. Now again add sauce and hide the objects, the second guest takes her turn. The winner is the player who discovers the most number of objects. If your guests are not interested in getting their hands messy this game can also be played with dry rice powder and beans.

You can choose both popular and also other candies which are not well known. You may include candies like twizlers, red hots, bubblegum, peppermint life savers, pez, tootsie rolls, milk duds, Wrigley’s chewing gum etc. You should note down the names of all candies you have bought. Before starting the game place all the candies in a tray. Now ask all the guests to stand near the table.Now blindfold the first guest and give her five candies to taste. She has to taste them one by one and then tell the name of the candy she has just tasted.

You can note down the names of the candies you have given her and tick the correct answers. Once the first guest has taken her turn blindfold another guest and repeat the game. After all the guests have of her candies right. The bride can later be gifted a tray full of candies.

In order to make your guests play this game a certain amount of preparation is necessary. You have to get material used in a veil and other trimmings like flowers, bows, lace thread, needle, scissors and ribbons. Before you start the game you can divide your guests into small groups or allow each guest to create her own veil. The guests are asked to use their imagination and be as creative as possible. The bride then wears each veil and walks the ramp. Some of them are so funny that the guests collapse with laughter.

The guests are asked to vote which is the best veil. Voting can be done either by raising their hands or through slips of paper. The creator of the best veil is declared the winner. The guests can also give their vote for other categories like the most outrageous veil, the funniest veil, the most charming veil and the most original veil just for fun. The veils can later be gifted to the bride as souvenirs of the bridal shower party you hosted.

All you need to play this interesting game is a huge fancy bouquet, a cd which has romantic numbers and arrangement for music. Wait till all the guests have arrived. Now arrange chairs in a circle. Ask all the guests to stand in a circle next to the seats. Now bring the bouquet to the center of the room. Give instructions to all players. When the music begins the guests have to pass the bouquet to each other. When the music stops the person who is holding the bouquet is out of the game and is required to sit down. When the music restarts the bouquet is passed again from one guest to another. Another guest sits down when the music stops. The game continues in this way.

Now start the game by switching on the music and watch the fun. The music should be romantic or play a love song. The person who remains standing till the end of the game is declared the winner. Once the game is over you can present the bouquet and cd of love songs to the bride.

You will also need many pairs of tube socks, paper, pens and pins. Now put one item in each sock and then tie it up and pin a number on it. You can put sunscreen lotion in one sock and key rings in another sock. Now let the game begin. Announce the honeymoon destination to all guests. Give everyone pen and paper. The socks are kept on the floor. Now each guest is required to feel the socks using only their feet and guess what is inside them. They should write the name of the article they have guessed against the corresponding number. For e.g. number one- compact. After all the guests have finished writing collect all the papers. The guests who have written the most correct answers is declared the winner

Wait till all the guests have taken their seats. Now announce that if the person with a gift is caught crossing her legs in the entire course of the party by another guest she will have to relinquish her gift to the one who catches her. Once you make this announcement everyone watches each other like hawks. Most people tend to forget the rule and end up crossing their legs thus forfeiting their gift.

If the person, who catches, is without a gift she gains one. If on the other hand the guest who plays detective already has a gift she may exchange her gift or give the extra gift to a person without a gift. After the game everyone opens their gifts and have lots of fun.

Now hand over the cups to the guests. Each guest should have one cup. Ask them to melt the ice and find the heart by using any part of their body. Now watch the fun. It is extremely funny to see guests using their breast, cheeks, hands and sometimes feet to try to melt the ice. You can even have a photographer to click their various poses. There is laughter all around. The winner is the person who successfully finds all the hearts by melting the ice cubes in her cup first. This is an ideal game to play just before food is served.

If you are hosting a bridal shower party you can make your guests play wedding night at the time the bride opens her gift. All you need for this game is a pen and sheet of paper. As the bride opens her gifts she makes various comments like “ this is so small and cute’. “I really needed it, this is just what I need’ or This feels so soft, this bed sheet has a divine feel. I love the scent of this perfume, I just can’t open this, I hate to tear it open, this is so beautiful. Ooh so cute and heavenly or the string has broken, this is simply gorgeous, this is just what I like etc.

Hand over the pen and paper to one of your friends. Her duty is to write down all the comments the bride makes while opening the gifts. The bride is so busy opening her gifts that she does not realize her comments are being noted. When the bride has finished opening the gifts, the lady who has noted down the comments says this is what the bride will say on her wedding night and then read out the bride’s comments while she opened her gifts. Everyone in the room will hold on to their sides with laughter.

Now put her answers in separate slips of papers. Each slip should contain only one answer. Let the game begin. Make the bride sit in the center of the gathering. Now ask her questions one by one. The bride has to select a piece of paper which contains the right answer. Usually she selects the wrong paper leading to laughter all around.

There is another variation of the game. The guests have to write down on their bingo cards what gifts the bride will receive including their own gift. They can write gifts like flowers, towel sets, vase, make up kit, bowls, etc. Now let the bride open her gifts one by one. She has to say aloud the name of the gift she has received. As she calls out a name the guests have to cross out the name on their bingo cards. The guest who has most crosses is declared the winner.
